If anything, last year was the abberration and he was seriously overvalued by this crack front office which is oh-so-easily fooled. Just like Jimmy Haynes, who had his career year here and then imploded the following season, this is hardly a surprise from Wilson. The Tampa Bay Devil Rays didn't give up on him for no reason.

It wouldn't be to "work out an injury". Sometimes pitchers try to pitch through some discomfort, as long as it's not too painful. Paul seems like the type that would do that.

This start might be the one that causes a decision on him to be made.

The team did something similar with Pena apparently. He PH while not totally healthy last week, and then was finally sent to the DL yesterday.

It wouldn't be to "work out an injury". Sometimes pitchers try to pitch through some discomfort, as long as it's not too painful. Paul seems like the type that would do that.

This start might be the one that causes a decision on him to be made.

I know, I was just trying to show that it really doesn't mean anything when we see him out there pitching. I don't agree with the team's position if that's how they're handling it, but it happens often.

You also have to remember he is seeing very little to hit. Most times they are happy to pitch around him.
