Well, he does have Luis Lopez to provide protection for him. If Dunn batted higher Luis Lopez wouldn't be able to protect him.

Why didn't they call EE up to get him some atbats while Randa is hurt? Oh nevermind, that would be the smart thing to do. I forgot this was the Reds.

Lineup building is the Lincoln Log stage in the Reds clubhouse, Legos are too difficult for this bunch.

Well, teams are always beating us with scrubs, guys in slumps and pitchers getting hits. Maybe we can do the same today.

We should suit up the Pirate's players kids. I've seen father-son games and those kids are dynamite. They always blow out the dads.

I don't want to rain on anyones parade here, but you've got a lineup with Valentin, L. Lopez, Romano, and my boy Bergolla in it. Is there really any way to make it any better than it is?

Using Steels post, look at it like this. Instead of Miley splitting up his lefthanders, he's splitting up his pitchers. Come to think of it, Milton might be a better addition to the lineup. :)

O. Perez almost always shuts the Reds down (except for the last time). I don't think any of the lefties have hit him at all. Therefore Griffey sits, he has played alot (for him) lately and this is a good spot to rest him.

There goes the run of good pitching (9 runs given up last 3 games).

Year after year we used to at least have a good bullpen. We have nothing now.

We need to average 6 runs a game from our offense to be winners. But with half our starting lineup belonging in AAA and a manager that struggles with roster moves, that's not going to happen.

We need a miracle!!!

They do happen.

Let us hope the Will is in favor of the REDS.

So who going to tomorrow night's game???!!! Anybody? It's Bleacher Night! $4 tickets [tho' it's not on the Reds website to order yet].

Going on Saturday [part of season ticket package] and maybe on Sunday depending on how I feel.

I'll be there Saturday. Are you going to GameDay afterward?

I'll be there Saturday. Are you going to GameDay afterward? I might... It's going to be a busy day - my family will be celebrating birthdays [including mine-late] around 2pm. So it will all depend on how tired I am after the game. So will you be there?

Oh fine, except for the constant pain... ;)

It was just one game. The Reds will get 'em tomorrow. :)
Seriously, hope the arm feels better.

Kitty, If you are going to be there (or if others are) then I will go. I just remembered that Creek Junior is going to the game Sat so I doubt Creek will go to the bar with him!

Matt, If I am there I hope to see ya! :beerme:

It probably because it was a Kid Glove game...

That's it, Miley's not stupid, just confused and not in touch with reality. While writing out the lineup cards, he saw that it was a Kid Glove game, thought we were playing the Tigers in an exhibition game, so he played all the scrubs. How embarrassed he must have been when he walked out to hand in the lineup card, and there stood Lloyd McClendon rather than Ralph Houk, and there was real grass on the field, not astroturf, and Plummer wasn't his scrub catcher, but a fat guy with porn star mustache. Nevertheless, he could not let his schizophrenic delusions be revealed quite yet, Howsam has no idea. So he handed in the card anyhow. Amazingly, it had names like Romano, Bergolla, Lopez and Valentin instead of Chaney, Vuckovich, Armbrister and Plummer.

I turned the game on FSN last night, saw the lineup and disgustedly turned it off. I'm really glad I didn't have tickets for a game like that.

If 8,000 people were there on vouchers...then only around 12,000 were "paying"???

That is what I was trying to figure out from the total they gave last night.
