Don't even get me started on Romano. Geez.

Against a lefty, with Casey and Pena out, who does Miley have to play the outfield? Either he uses Bergolla or LLopez in the infield (Freel in outfield) or he uses Romano in the oufield with Freel at second. So this seems like the right lineup to me, except at catcher.

Larue must be hurt or out for some other reason. You usually don't use Valentin against left handed pitching.

I haven't read anything about him being hurt, but I know he got whacked pretty good late in that extra inning game a few nights ago. I love the quote from him following that game (paraphrased) regarding the possibility of Ryan Freel catching if he had to be removed due to inury: "It really hurt, but they'd have to cut off my hand before I let that happen".

That had to be the dumbest group of atbats I've ever seen.

After walking the first two hitters, Griffey chases a bad first pitch and hits a weak flyout. Kearns flies out on a 2-0 pitch. Dunn gets ahead 2-0 and swings at two consecutive pitches at shoulder height.

They refused to take walks.

Should Griffey have been able to catch the ground rule double in the first inning? Should someone have been able to catch the two run bloop single? Couldn't get a good look at either play on TV, but seemed to me that the outfield isn't helping Milton, who obviously needs it.

Randa flies out to end the inning.

Randa is slowly regressing back to his career norms(.287/.367/.446 vs career .286/.342/.425)

EE could easily put those numbers up right now, imo. Trade Randa while he still has decent value.

George! Chris! Shut the heck up!! Danny Graves sucked, and there is nothing you can say to spin it otherwise!

EE has 13 errors at AAA. No need to rush him to the major leagues. Randa will go at the trade deadline or the end of this year.

It's not rushing him. The guy is ripping the ball at AAA. From that I've heard and read, most of his errors have been throwing errors. How many of those low throws would have been caught by a major league first baseman? Probably more than a AAA 1B.

What happened to all the posters that wanted to point out that Milton "knows how to win"?

I don't care what all the stats say, at the end of the day all that matters is wins and losses.

I wouldn't mind trading Randa now, but I'm willing to cut him some slack when it comes to his offense as he still has a sore foot right now, and it's bad enough that Marty and others are still noticing his limp whenever he runs or anything like that. His numbers who slipped some before that, but I think once he gets healed here, he will starting hitting the ball better again. We'll soon find out.

As I said though, I still wouldn't be opposed to trading him right now.

Not that it matters, but wasn't it 9-2?

Milton was as bad as I've seen. But on a positive note: Flippy has crazy power, I thought he got fooled on the pitch he hit out. Quickly becoming one of my favorite Red's. Sadly, Aurilia is almost healthy.

At least Felipe's play means that even the Reds "braintrust" won't be able to justify getting him out of the lineup. So, I think, Felipe is headed to second when Rich "naked pics of Marty and OB" Aurilia gets back.

My undefeated record at Reds games died a cold painful death at the hands of Milton

But unfortunately it also probably means that Freel is again going to be relegated to the bench. If he does, I won't only be mad myself, but I wouldn't blame Freel one bit if he went off the deep end.

Uh, Milton is terrible and totally unreliable. Gullett keeps getting the best out of what he's given too, great job Reds, as usual, great job.

Oh no, Freel to RF and Kearns and Pena when he gets back to the bench...I am starting to get the rhythm of the Reds FO down. 1/2 step forward, four steps back.
