Well... Lopez does need a blow every now and then and Aurilia does hit LH's way better than RH's and hopefully Hudson K's so many that a GB is a rarity.

Never the less, Lopez will need a day off, better the replacement be against the worlds worst expansion team.

Darrell Chaney got himself some at bats once upon a time for the same reason.

Playing 162 games during a year never caused other REDS to suffer. At FeLo's age, there's no reason why he can't play every day. There's so many off days in baseball, and they've got spa-like facilities to nurse the aches and pains. He's a world-class athlete. He can go 162 games productively.

They do tonight.

$1.00 buys you a beer on Thursdays. They usually get around 8,000-10,000 instead of the normal 2,500 fans on a weeknight.

Today's also the warmest day in a week, and it's supposed to cool down to the 60's the next couple of days.

Should get 10,000 tonight (Padres AAA against Diamondbacks AAA).

Casey saved a throwing error on Freel with that nice snag at first. I like when they can pick each other up like that.

IMHO, Jr's looking real good in center. He still easily gets to balls that others struggle for (or just don't get to), partly because Jr still has a great eye for the where the ball's going as soon as its hit.

Even with the HR, Luke's doing well tonight, especially for his first start since last year.

Like you said, the range will never be the same, but age would have done that as well, he has looked better with every passing week it seems. Every so often there is a flash, or the occasional dive and he looks perfectly healthy. He's probably 85% of what he once was as an OFer.

That's it for Hudson.

It will be interesting to find the idiot who decided to call up Hudson now. He looks like it is still March as expected after 2 month layoff.

Oh yeah, his name is Dan O'brien...................

Take out Griffey. Take out Hudson.
Agreed 100%. Put WMP in CF and Ears in RF.

Both posted before last inning....tsk tsk Dave. :bang:
