Dave Miley consulting the Strat Cards has decided to go as LH as he can.

Did Aurilia's squeaky wheel get some grease? I'd say LuLo is a better choice for 2b, since Miley was apparently stacking the BO with LH hitters.

Pena and Freel said their legs were in some discomfort after last night so he's giving them a rest.

Good reason I guess, but if Pena is sitting, Kearns shouldn't be

Dunn or Griffey would be on the bench for a week if they whined like RA does. But oh Rich gets rewarded with a start for whining!

So now Jose Cruz is a better player than Kearns AND Wily Mo?

No he's LH

Casbrea vs. RH's 0.88 WHIP and a .177 BA

In short he owns them, perfect time to get the LH in the lineup, if Cabrea blows then the starter can join the fun or get a rest... BTW it has been about 10,000 degrees in Cincinnati. Rest is a good thing too. Especially for LaRue.

Based on radar trends, Claussen's goal tonight should be to pitch quickly but effectively through 5 innings, and hope the team has a lead for him at that point. :)

Cruz has hit better than Kearns this year. With Pena and Freel seemingly needing the night off, I'm not sure that Miley has much choice with the lineup. And Cruz and Aurilla have both hit very well lately.

If anyone things that this lineup is not capable of scoring runs, I invite you to sit back and wait for the outcome. You can't put your best 8 every night.

From the Editors
A neighborhood favorite since the late 1920s, Zip's Cafe is famous for its one-of-a-kind juicy hamburgers. Although Zip's is a bar, the entrees served up with the beers sound like they're straight off a kiddie menu: burgers, fries, grilled cheese, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese. A family-friendly joint, Zip's offers Guinness on tap for the adults and juice boxes for the kids. Don't be intimidated by the communal-style seating -- you'll blend right in. Sunday lunch has become a tradition at Zip's, so come early to grab a seat in the small dining room. -- Annie McManis (Photo: Terry Brueneman)

I swear that when scores get like this, the people updating gameday just leave to go smoke, take a dump, grab a dog, whatever.

It took the Reds radio crew about 5 pitches to figure out that Luis Lopez was hitting.

So really, a frozen gameday is pretty near the same thing as listening to Reds radio.
