The Reds suck. We all know that. And they'd probably still suck even if the line-up was done properly every night. So, in the end, it doesn't really matter, but I find it MADDENING that on top of all of our other problems, BOTH of our managers this year now simply REFUSE to bat our best power hitter/best on base earner/most dangerous hitter any higher than 5th and usually 6th. In the meantime, has-beens like RA not only keep finding a spot on the line-up card, but they also wind up in spots where more productive players belong. Baffling.

Make up that face
Jump in the race
Life's a kick in this town

It is so glamorous
Bet you'd live here if you could
And be one of us

Change the lines that were said before

WMP's first HR since June 17 vs. Braves (10 games ago).

WMP's 4nd HR in June. He hit two in a game vs. the D-Rays (June 8) the day after coming off the DL. One was a 2-run HR to win the game w/ 2 outs in the 9th after Junior tied it w/ a single.

That just proves it. Dan O'Brien is a total bust as a judge of talent. Jason Romano belongs in AAA. Instead of leading 2-1 we're tied. And that should have been an error.

It doesn't. But DanO's job, it means alot. That is why you won't see any trades to the ASB. DanO has been given a job requirement. If he can't have this team pushing 500 by the trade deadline, it seems like he will be fired. If things continue to go downhill(really stay on course) he may be fired before that time(more around the ASB).

I think he is blocked from making deals and that Allen is handling that "talk" probably with Kullman, that means DanO is in deep doo doo. I definitely agree they should just ax him, but Lindner probably has final culling which may be difficult for him to do.

You guys are forgetting Machado. ;)

MWM, as I said in the Randa thread, maybe the Reds would be better off holding on to these guys like Randa (I guess Randa would be the only one who qualified since RA's numbers over the last year or two have been awful) and getting a draft choice instead of a prospect(s). If you believe DanO and his bunch are so incompenent - which they are - we may be better off getting another draft pick that a dofferent GM and scouting director may pick. I'd almost rather gamble on that rather than DanO bringing another Machado or Romano clone.

I'm not getting that feed tonight, but if anyone had any hmmm. Guts, yes that's the word, the PR department would be going bonkers with these two. How in the world do you get people to come out to the park if all you can say is the opposition is the greatest in the world?

Many of you know the PR guy with the Reds and like him. He may be a nice guy, but no one with any regard for their job would put up with these two duds for telecasters. They sell every team in the majors. Pitiful.

I kinda hope you are right. It's like Allen might be saying, "Dano, this is your team. You staked your claim on it. You aren't going to be muddying the waters. You will sink or swim with these guys." Meanwhile Allen is telling Kullman (who I have a lot more confidence in than Dano), "Get your ducks lined up, and be ready to pull the trigger at the deadline."

Baffling.

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!! And you know what, I blame O'Brien!!!! I think he's making the calls about the line-ups!! But Narron should be ashamed for not having the cojones to stand up to him; or maybe he's just as clueless as Obie!! :(((

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/images/ency/fullsize/9944.jpg Encarnacion needs one of these to pick the splinters out of his butt. It's ridulous that he continues to waste away on the bench. Either play him or option him back to Louisville.

It's time to burn this mutha down.
Watch out
You might get what you’re after
Cool babies
Strange but not a stranger
I’m an ordinary guy
Burning down the house

Hold tight wait till the party’s over
Hold tight we’re in for nasty weather
There has got to be a way
Burning down the house

Here’s your ticket pack your bag: time for jumpin’ overboard
The transportation is here
Close enough but not too far, maybe you know where you are
Fightin’ fire with fire

All wet
Hey you might need a raincoat
Shakedown
Dreams walking in broad daylight
Three hun-dred six-ty five de-grees
Burning down the house

It was once upon a place sometimes I listen to myself
Gonna come in first place
People on their way to work baby what did you except
Gonna burst into flame

My house
S’out of the ordinary
That’s might
Don’t want to hurt nobody
Some things sure can sweep me off my feet
Burning down the house

No visible means of support and you have not seen nuthin’ yet
Everything’s stuck together
I don’t know what you expect starring into the tv set
Fighting fire with fire

I don't give a rat's...ahem...well, you know, about George and his little lovefest with the Cardinals and "turning the number"!

Good thing about this outing is this is hopefully Stone's last major league appearence with the Reds.

HR - Jim Edmonds

Now 10-2 Cardinals

Anyone else get the sinking feeling the Reds are a one legged man in a butt kicking contest?

Time to clue me in: Who's pitching for the Reds right now? Is it still Stone?
