View Full Version : Help me give my new puppy a Reds-themed name

LAReds

I bought a new puppy for the kids this weekend and want to give it a baseball-related, Reds-themed name. I suggested Gapper (we live in LA and they don't know who Gapper is). Any suggestions?

Bumpus

Bumpus Jones, threw a no hitter in his first Reds start and it also was the last no hitter thrown before the mound was moved back to its present location.

Brownie; Smiley; Dunner; Gravie --> would be a good choice if your dog barks loudly but bites weakly

"Indiana" (ref. Jones' "Last Crusade")

"Spuds" (kinda dated)

"Schottsie 03"

"D'Angelo"

"Gravey"

"Gigi" (George Grande)

"Milton" (so when it gets loose, you can wander around the neighborhood calling "Milllll-ton!")

It's a yellow lab. Some really great ideas so far. Keep them coming. I came home from work yesterday, and my kid wanted to go with Sunny....no way I am naming the dog Sunny.

My parents promised to get me either a small dog or another kitten when I graduate college and get settled in for (hopefully) grad school, and I've got the name narrowed down to two choices-
Casey or Griffey. :)
