I think they said on the broadcast last night that Olmedo was told he'd get the start at 2B today (said that when he came up to PH last night). It was late, however, so my ears may have been playing a trick on me.

If Olmedo plays, Freel will probably move to the OF or 3B.

Well, 3B maybe - but Encarnacion needs to play, especially, I say especially, against a AAA pitcher like the Dodgers are throwing out there today. These are the type guys he needs to play against for confidence purposes.

Freel shouldn't be in the outfield because Dunn just sat Monday, Junior Sunday, and if you want to sit Kearns then WMP needs to play. Casey won't sit because he is Casey, plus he's a lefty agasint a righty.

So, really, 2B or 3B is the only options for Freel and I explained why 3B should be EdE's today, so we are back to 2B.

Me too. If Olmedo is definitely playing, I'd imagine Kearns is out since FeLo sat out earlier in the series. They won't keep RA on the bench again today.

A win tonight would put us at 9-5 since the All Star Break and mean we have gone 2-0-2 in series since the break. Not bad - baby steps, baby steps.

The Reds faced tonight's Dodger SP DJ Houlton back in May in Cincy and had their way with him. His line from that game:

DATE GAME W L ERA G GS CG SHO SV SVO IP H R ER HR BB SO NP-S GO-AO
MAY 06 @CIN 0 0 6.97 1 0 0 0 0 0 1.2 7 6 6 1 2 1 50-27 2-2

OB is waiting too long, we are going to get stuck with Aurilia until the end of the year, and not going to get a thing for him. I just don't see the logic that OB is using. Maybe he just doesn't want to make moves as he is afraid of making mistakes.

The problem is then, that you are going to have OB telling whomever the manager is, that RA needs to play. Then you will have RA in the clubhouse complaining as well. Not a good thing in my mind.

What are the odds in your opinion that RA will be traded? Resigned?

Big Klu, or anyone else, will you post the website for WATH Athens radio, I can't get WKKI today and am sick of Vin on XM. Why all the love for him I will never understand. He repeats himself over and over and puts me to sleep. Strikes me as he is broadcasting to small children, kinda sissy like. Give me Marty and Steve anyday. Go to athensi.com click on WATH on the left side of the page.

So far nothing about this on ESPN's web page. Maybe they were just talking about rumors.
Marty said John Fay heard it reported on one of the ESPN networks. Didn't say one way or the other whether it was a rumor or something with any validity.

Dunn AND Casey to the Mets????

Marty said that's what was reported on ESPN.

WHOA!!!!!!!!!!! Somebody get on this. Dunn goes I'm gonna be an unhappy camper. All the sudden Vin Scully letting me down doesn't seem quite so bad. See it's all a matter of perspective.

Supposedly ESPN said this on the air, but nobody knows who the Reds would get....

Whatever it is they'll be bringing it in this.

Thanks for info on Claussen. They also didn't say what the rangers would get in the trade?
