There is an interview with Barry Larkin coming up on Real Reds for those interested!

I just watched the interview. It was lengthier than most.... and he's one interesting guy; still extremely loyal to the Reds. From the action shots they showed, the guys on the team really miss him. I miss him. Class act and so was the interview.

If anyone wants to watch all 3 games for free on DTV then go to channel 626 if you are in the following areas...

As part of the multi-year carriage agreement between DIRECTV and MASN, beginning March 1, 2006, DIRECTV will carry MASN on a full-time, 24/7 basis on channel 626. MASN's service territory includes Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Washington, D.C., and parts of North Carolina, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Anyone but me think that Kearns is still having trouble with the thumb and that is the reason for the flying bats?

RedlegNation
08-23-2005, 07:27 PM
Something’s wrong with Kearns’ thumb. He’s thrown two more bats already today. He can’t hold onto them over the last few weeks.

And he’s probably not telling anyone about it because he’s afraid he’ll be benched if he’s not manly enough to play through the pain.

KronoRed

Kearns just showing the love to bat seekers ;)

Gainesville Red
08-23-2005, 07:28 PM
Gotta believe there is something for real wrong with his thumb. He was looking at it after the second bat toss. I mean it's ridiculous the rate he throws bats. Check out his thumb before it gets worst. I mean he's gonna kill somebody. ;)

Interesting thhoughts by Welsh (did I really say that?) about Kearns possibly being bothered by his thumb and that being the reason for the bats flying out of his hands.

Very nice outing by Hudson so far. The Reds pitchers should improve their numbers against the Nats. You aren't going to mistake the Nats for the '27 Yanks anytime soon.

For the fifty billionth time in August, Dunn gets ahead in the count 3-0 and gets out. Hopefully he can rebound soon and reach 45 homeruns.

By the way, Hudson-ZERO walks in seven innings tonight. That right there tells you all you need to know about the Washington offense.

Kalan Pimental, the kid from California playing in the LLWS, had a .880 On-base percentage during the season. This is the same kid who struckout 18 batters in six innings a few days ago. His fastball has been clocked at 82 mph, which translates to a 105 mph MLB fastball.

He just hit a grand slam a few minutes ago.
