Bengals get it back into the redszone and stall the drive.

Graham in to try it again. Good.

3-0 Bengals.

7-3 Pittsburgh. Defense looked bad that drive.

Bad offensive series to follow up the bad defensive one. Hopefully the D will get a stop here, if not it could be a long day.

no and he has no idea half the time what he is talkin about on johnsons td catch that wasn't allowed eh said the ball was moving when chad clearly had his arm around the ball and switced it in arms and he turned over

Uh, you actually have to move the ball when you do that. I don't know if it was the correct call or not but Chad Johnson has made 2 great catches that didn't count.

The Bengals have had problems all year stopping the run. Bettis has made a career of running against the Bengals. If PIT is smart they will just run Bettis wild over the Bengals. That will open up the pass like it did on the TD.

The Bengals have dominated the offensive side of the ball, long drives that are eating clock and yards but you have to score TDs against Pitt.

I just can't see the D being good enough yet to pull this one off. They are giving up 5.25 yards/carry so far. That is bad.

7-6 at the half. Gonna be a good one it seems.

Pick by Torrie James. Big series for the Bengals.

Carson gives it right back :(

Defense stands tall and holds them to 3.

10-6 Pittsburgh

10-6... good job to hold them to only a FG

Carson picked again.

Does he look confused out there? I ask because I'm 'watching' the Yahoo updates, not the game being out of the Bengals area.

Not necessarily. That last one was a batted pass at the line of scrimmage and a defensive lineman just happened to snatch it out of the air.

Steelers just run the ball down the Bengals throat for a TD.

The pick was deflected by a defensive lineman and fell right into the hands of his teammate.

Ah well, no shame in losing to this season's future Super Bowl Champions.

That pretty much does it. Bengals are better, but still not ready to talk about advancing in the playoffs yet.

Defense looks dejected in the 4th quarter. They're making it look too easy.

This is going to be one they'll look back on wandering what happened. They dominated most of the first half only to allow stupid mistakes to keep them from scoring. Had they scored a TD and a FG on those first two drives, it changes what Pitt has to do on offense. It might be a different ball game. This will be a good learning experience for them, hopefully. I am encouraged at how well they moved theball against one of the best defenses in the league.

The game turned when Henry dropped the ball in the endzone then they missed the FG. This is a reality check for the Bengals, who have improved enormously, but who are not yet able to hang with the big boys. Let's hope they can bounce back next week.

If the Bengals want to have any hope of advancing through the playoffs, then they have to improve on a run defense that is 21st in the NFL and allows 117 yds/game.

This was a "measuring stick" game; but when I look at the Bengals schedule, they still, IMO, can finish 11-5. The question is - Have they improved enough to beat those "elite" teams in the AFC?

A good idea I think the Bengals should do if not during the season, then in the offseason is move Pollack back to DE and put Landon Johnson at LB. They need a run-stuffer in the middle and Thornton and Robinson are not cutting it.

Im personally hoping Rod Wright slides in the draft, but I dont see that happening.

Problem with that is, Pollack lost and trimmed weight prior to the draft to become a LB in the NFL. And he's been doing the same since he was drafted by the Bengals. Unless everybody is comfortable wasting a couple seasons of his career, it's too late for him to become a DE. Atleast a good one anyways.

I wonder if he's not a bust. And I don't say that lightly or as a knee jerk thing. I just don't think he has the 'tools' to be an impact NFL guy.

The way my Browns are playing we'll get a choice pick in the draft - and it better be one ofthe OSU linebackers, like AJ. ;)

But I wouldn't be surprised if they go QB either. Frye is gonna get a shot here soon. But Crennel wants to shore-up/build the talent around this 3-4 first IMO.

The hold-out by Pollack may have hurt him and kept him behind schedule. Too early to tell.
