Anybody remember watching this show at school as a kid? It featured a little known actor named Morgan Freeman. Some of those songs and ditties still ring in my head, even after all these years. I can't wait to see some of this stuff again.

"We're gonna turn it onnnnnnnnn!!!
We're gonna bring you the powwwurrrrrr!"

I hope Netflix adds this to their library. I want to watch it, but I doubt I'll want to watch it over and over again.

I'd like to see a Best of Zoom compilation, too. "Send it to Zoom... Box 350, Boston Mass. 0-2-1-3-4"

woy, our household is just the opposite. I was turned on by the Electric Company and Mrs. U never saw it.

Wow, U... I bring the "ZOOM" thing up to people my age. Nobody ever seems to remember it. You remember it well... and I wondered what that darn zip was that they always sang at the end.

Just when I thought I was the only one who remembered it!

Spider-Man rocked.....could not wait for the moment he was on.

His costume looked better than the one CBS had on their show in the late 70's.

I loved the Electric Company! Bill Cosby and Rita Moreno were on there too!

I used to watch another show on PBS around that time too, I believe it was called Powerhouse, and it was about a group of kid detectives. I want that on DVD too.

Ooh, and 3-2-1 Contact! Wherever there's trouble, we're there on the double...we're the bloodhound gang.

Also need Read All About It on DVD...that would be the topz!!!

Hey, check out this photo of Cosby, which I believe is a screen shot from an episode of The Electric Company. I have no idea why this helmet was chosen, but ain't she a beauty?!

The Electric Company was pretty much the extent of my exposure to African-Americans until I was old enough to follow the late-'80s Reds. Such is/was life in the lily-white suburbs.

While we're strollling down the memory lane of PBS, anyone recall Villa Allegre?

As long as we are going down memory lane. This is a local Los Angeles show, so most here will probably not be familiar with it:

H-O-B-O K-E-Double L-Y
Hobo Kelly, sure and be-gor-ah 'tis I!
Come on along to Hobo Junction
Where fun happens ev'ry minute
It's a mythical, magical kind of place...

Racial stereotyping the whole family could enjoy.
