Baltimore Orioles outfielder Jay Gibbons got some big financial security when agreed Tuesday to a $21.1 million, four-year contract.

The contract for the 28-year-old calls for salaries of $4.2 million this year, $5 million in 2007, $5.7 million in 2008 and $6.2 million in 2009. The agreement followed a season in which he batted .277 with 26 homers and 79 RBIs in 139 games.

Unreal. Maybe Dunn is "worth" that 9 million he is seeking. Marketwise anyways, he probably deserves 8-9 if Gibbons is worth 5.25 million a year.
