Payroll will be in the $60-65 million range this year, R.Cast said that improvement with the team's performance will lead to improved attendance which in turn will lead to more money for the payroll. R.Cast also said that if the Reds were to face a situation in which more money would benifit the team at the particular juncture that they would take a hit and cough up the money.

What a welcome quote to read. Its finally nice to hear Reds management actually saying what the fans have been saying for years about payroll and attendance. What a much needed breath of fresh air in Castellini after putting up with Dano's esoteric drivel for so long.
