his numbers really took a downfall and he really doesn't have much of an eye. he came out of no where and i haven't really been sold on him since day 1. and yet i'm confused on how he got a roster spot on team USA for the WBC.

so i just wanted to know if i weren't the only one shady about him.

I am hesitant to believe how good he really is. The fact he has no ability to walk will be tough for him to be spectacular, but he did hit awfully well last year.

I don't think he deserved a roster spot on team USA, and I don't think he's as good as he's cracked up to be, but he still does look like a pretty good regular down the line.

Well, he is an excellent defensive outfielder, which may be why he got a spot on the roster. I am not sold on him ever hitting .330, but I think he could be a .300 guy every year. He wont walk much, but he will hit a lot of extra base hits.
