My guide shows tennis on ESPN2 @ 4. Hope it's wrong. They changed the schedule. They originally had a game on at 11 ET tonight when they thought the US was playing in that time slot. When the US game was scheduled for 4 they changed the schedule and the US game will be on.

Looks to be a wide strikezone today....as long as it goes both ways I will take it.

Umpire has had a shoddy strike zone in terms of consistency today...

imo, the US has a larger advantage the longer the game goes on. After the 5th inning, the US has nothing but closers to shut down the Japanese "O". Should be a fun finish

I am more than impressed with the great defense that Japan has displayed in this game. They have robbed the US of at least three hits. That was a great play by the SS on the ball Griffey just hit.

Indeed, they look pretty solid.

One thing's for sure, Rick Sutcliff is in mid season form, in fact pre-season, post season, anytime....Rick just is painful to listen to.

His insight is fraught with cliches and hyperbole.

He should go into politics.

This is bad. Replay shows he didn't leave early.

Very bad.

Wow. Bad call.

If anything, you would prefer the US umps to err on the side of the visitors, but to overturn a call that was THAT close is awful.

Maybe replay's time is here.

Griffey chased two bad balls or else he would have had the game winning walk.

Griffey actually looked very uncomfortable at the plate during that last at-bat. If he'd just gone up there and played it cool, the way he normally does, he'd have batted in the game-winning run, even if it was a sac fly.

I actually feel bad for Japan. They really got screwed. I'm glad Team USA won, but somehow it doesn't feel fair and square. Then again, I know that's how it goes sometimes. Japan will be talking about it for awhile and probably are angry... who can blame them? They still may not have won, but now we'll never know.
