We are in the 5th now. Phelps in for Harang and gives up a double and then Victorino ties it with a HR. Phelps gets out of the inning without any more damage and after 4 and a half it is tied at 2.

With 2 outs Hatteberg coaxes a walk. Kata runs for him. Dunn is hit by a pitch, Bannon runs for him. EdE rips a double down the 3B line scoring Kata and Bannon. Ed goes to 2nd on the throw home. Ed is stranded at 3rd. After 5, Reds 4 Phils 2.

Mercker in for Phelps. Utley goes deep on him. 4 to 3 Reds after 5 and a half.

Bottom of 8 Javy doubles. He advanced to 3rd and McCracken drives him in. 5 to 3 Reds. Belisle in and gives up a 1 out triple. Run scores on an error by Kata who is at 2nd now. Double play wins the game for the Reds. Final Reds 5 Phils 4.

At the risk of being thought an idiot, I will say that Womack has had a decent spring at the plate. There's no way I want him starting over Freel, but if he is gonna play, it would be nice to see him at least hit .300 and repeat his numbers from St. Louis a few years back.

At the risk of being thought an idiot, I will say that Womack has had a decent spring at the plate. and a smart GM would find a home for him on a different team because even if he would play well(like in 2004 it was still relative as his VORP was under 10) it will not make the Reds a winner.

The only way a GM could find a place for Womack is to cut him. He's ours like it or not.
