It's a split the leftie rightie thing

Check it out

L Womack
S Lopez
L JR
L Dunn
R EE
L Hatteberg
R Kearns
S Valentine
R Harang

When we face a leftie Dunn will go to 5th and Hatte will drop to 7th behind Kearns.

Not exactly the best lineup in the world but hopefully we will emerge victorious.

If you are a Reds fan, there is no place better to be on Opening Day in Cincinnati than at the yard. It is a shame it only happens once a year.

Yes!

Being a high school student I am going to have a case of the red fever tomorrow. No way you will find me at school.

Only bad thing is I have to watch the Cub broadcast and not the Reds. At least I can watch Real Reds before and Reds Wrap after the game.

What's the over/under on this statement? Narron: "Womack is really pressing right now. We're going to give him a breather and see what Ryan and Rich can do at 2nd."

I say 18.5 games.

According to Marc's blog we get Rusch, Snell, Maholm and Perez after Zambrano.
Three lefties in the first five games.
I don't know what our lineup against lefties will be, but I think I'm not going to like it.

As much as we bash on Womack I'd take our line up over theirs anyday. Their 3-4 spot is it. We have other guys who can do damage. The key is to get Zambo out after 5 and tee off on the pen. That's my hope. Especially considering I have Zambo on my fantasy team, but that's another story. I'm so excited about going to the game I don't know if I can sleep. I noticed there is a lot of traffic on the Redzone pretty late. I'll be at the game so not on the thread, but enjoy the game everyone and hope to see us 1-0 and a beautiful day tomorrow.

The most important thing in today's game is that Harang pitches well. The Reds could lose, but if Harang can start building on his 2005 season then we've got reason to celebrate regardless of the outcome.

George Foster is a funny interview. The problem?

When asked about the 2006 club's fortunes, he immediately talks about Tony Womack and his ability to lead the ballclub.

Since when was Mr. There Is No You, There Is Only Me a "leader"? Because he's old and played in the World Series? Perhaps a team guy like Rich Aurilia should do to Womack what Adam Dunn reportedly did to Joey Hamilton a couple of years back.

It's secondhand, of course, but I think there was something mentioned about how Hamilton was an arrogant !@#$ because he'd pitched in the World Series in 1997 and Dunn threw him into some lockers or something. Don't quote me.

I may not like the man's politics, but it IS right to see the President at the Red's opening day.

Yeah, I felt the same way. It made me smile and feel warm inside, which doesn't happen often. It almost feels like someone or something is saying, "Cincinnati, this is your year."

Does he still have an enormous comical mustache?

When Chris attended St. X he was asked by the Reds to come to the stadium and throw off the mound. This was back in the 70's, Chris at the time had the mustache and the Reds made him shave it off before he could throw off the mound.

Even as a HS kid he had that thing and even then no one stepped on the field in red and white with facial hair.
