Yes the game is on WGN. I think its a chance to give EE a day off and to give BP his first start with us.

Great...nothing like a young 3b having a tough day, bouncing back to drill an RBI double off a HOF pitcher, then grabbing some pine the next day.

Why isn't Kearns hitting cleanup? Aurilia doesn't play against RHPs and hits cleanup against LHPs. Zambrano is pitching, he replaces EE and becomes the cleanup guy? Doesn't make any sense. Hopefully Narron proves me wrong.

This is one where only the baseball gods can bequeth the Reds a victory.

I figured it was time for an EdE benching, 3 errors or not.

Just thinking out load, but would it be benefitial to have a play-by-play only thread for those who actually use the game thread to get thier game updates? It's awful hard for those people to sift through all the comments and find what actually happened.

Maybe have two game threads, one play-by-play and the other for commentery.

Just wondering.

Jerry Narron said that EdE's gonna have days like yesterday. He's the starting 3b and this is part of the deal and will be in the lineup against St Louis.

He did say that if EdE's gonna have other days defensively like he did on Wednesday, he's gonna be benched.
