Man after that 0-18 slump he went through, he is tearing the cover off of the ball. He went 2-4 tonight, with a HR and 4 RBI, he also scored twice. Since he was 0-18, he is now 13 for his last 25, which is a .520 average, and he is slugging 1.040 over those same at bats. For the season he is at .339 BA, .403 OB% and .625 SLG%. He has 2 home runs, 6 doubles, 2 triples and 8 RBI in 14 games. He also has just 8 strikeouts in 56 at bats, to go along with 6 walks. Very impressive start for Bruce.

Good to see a young kid rebound from a horrible skid. Shows a lot of self confidence.

Here's his game by game stats. I think what is interesting is that in the first several games he was striking out a bit, especially in his slide, but now he has shown some plate discipline. It will be interesting to see if the next time he goes in a slump if he'll continue to take walks.

I think an 0-for-18 stretch qualifies as a slump.

I guess a slight slide, maybe it wasn't the best choice of words. None of it matters, its a small sample size, beginning of the season, etc. Just thought it was nice to see.
