I didnt get to actually watch the game tonight. I saw the lizard's line, but how did he actually look? Potential or a good night vs a bad team?

He actually looked pretty good. He doesn't have great stuff, but he was nailing his spots tonight.

IMO, he gave up too many flyballs and RFK helped him tonight. I'm glad we won, but I don't feel that his line accurately reflected his performance.

He pitched awfully well. Sure the numbers would have been worse in GABP but the Reds would have scored him more runs too. I doubt a healthy Milton would have done better tonight. For a 23 year old pitcher he did well. I see a Bronson Arroyo future for this kid

Yeah he doesn't have great stuff, but if he hits his spots he can get people out at this level

As I mentioned in another thread, I was at the game tonight in DC and sat behind home plate, albeit a few rows up. Ramirez looked solid. His fastball looked to be a little too straight, but he appeared to have great location. His velocity was decent according to the gun, at least until the later innings when his location was still excellent. Although he gave up a couple of long fly outs that might have been out in GABP, I thought Hernandez and Co. gave up more of that type to the Reds. What impressed me about Ramirez was that he was in and out, up and down, all night. He appeared to pitch right where he wanted the ball to go. The Nationals hitters didn't look comfortable all night while Ramirez was pitching.

That may not be true. I don't recall any fly balls given up by the lizard that would have been a homerun anywhere else. If that's the case, then the huge outfield was working against him.
