I've always been more of a reader than a poster on here, but I just got off the phone with my uncle who is going to have tommy john surgery from Dr. Kremchek and I wanted to share his experience with you all. First off, my uncle is a power lifter and messed up his elbow doing a real heavy bench, so that is why how he ended up there. He lives in Columbus and was referred to Dr. Kremchek. From what my uncle told me, it sounds like he is a great, down-to-earth guy. Apparently his office (not surprisingly) a Reds Fan heaven with autopgraphed pictures galore. Apprently Kremchek even worked on Jimmy Paige. My uncle also ran into Griffey when he was there and Griffey held open the door for him, so its nice to see that he can be personable as well. Anyway, I won't bore anyone with more of the details, but it sounds like Kremchek is a good guy and I thought I'd pass that along to you all.

Sounds like Marty's ongoing references to Kremchek as "Doc Hollywood" create a perception that is undeserved - unless it was meant to imply that the good doctor is as humble as Michael J. Fox. ;)

Thanks for the info.

When I was in high school I went to Dr. Kremchek for a dislocated shoulder. I second the fact of him being a great, down to earth guy. Really surprised me. And I think Marty is just giving him a hard time and joking with him when he says the doc hollywood stuff.

Kremchek just fixed my ACL Tuesday. The guy is top notch. Seriously a great guy. His office is seriously a small museum.

I thought I heard a couple years ago that Marty calls Dr K that because he's such a natural in front of the TV camera when he does his injury reports.

Something like that.
