Reading today where he says he's been taking treatment for it for a week and it does'nt seem to be getting better.I know back problems usually stay with you the rest of your life, just like bad knees which is what I have trouble with from time to time.We know he'll be playing again, however do you all think this problem could plague him during the course of the season?

A high percentage of back problems have little or no physiological origin (muscle tears, slipped discs, "pinched nerves"). Many are brought on by stress, anger, and anxiety. You, in many cases, have to "talk" or "think" yourself into relaxing muscle spasms. It's happened to my wife and three of my coworkers. But that is, of course, unless there's not actually been structural damage done to the body--which obviously happens too.

Can we as a fan base collectively give Pujols back spasm when they come to town? :)

having to carry the entire team can get heavy.

Cards as an offense have a team VORP(off) of 35. Pujols has 25 all by himself.

In contrast with the Reds who have a team VORP(off) of 65 and Dunn leads with 13.

I have a bulging disc from a compressed column that is caused by a 1/2 an extra vertabrea that I have.

I also have an extra wisdom tooth, maybe I swallowed my twin?

To paraphrase Jeff Gordon from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, it's not surprising that Pujols has a sore back. He has after all been carrying the entire Cardinal offense on it.

For baseball's sake, I hope he is okay.

Statements like this really require a lunchtime disclaimer.
