On occasion, the family goes and watches the Lexington Legends and I havent really cared who the opponent was....but I was thinking the other day, maybe I should target a few teams to try and go see. My question is this, does anyone know a website that would have the top talent in that league that are highly rated prospects ......both of my boys love to get autographs and if I can point out a few of the really good players, they would love it.....

Thanks for your help

With it being a Low A team, the best option might be to look at last years draft and look for some HS draft picks. Here is one listing.

Also you can look at stats and rosters here

and BA's team by team top 10's may help as well.

Also John Sickels website has a lot of great info on prospects. Also he gives his own top 20 for each team, but you would have to do some searching to see if they are in the SAL.

Pitcher-wise, I think Florida's low A team Greensboro might be an interesting to watch.

EDIT: Also make sure you go see Pittsburgh's low A team Hickory and in particular Andrew McCutchen. He should be a neat hitter to watch.

Finally a Sally league question. Im from Charleston home of the WV Power. I go to all kinds of games so i do a lot of research on the other teams. So this is based on preseason prospects and not the ones doing good right now.

This is simple either go to Greensboro or Hickory
If you can catch Greensboro with Chris Volstad pitching then go. But if you cant then i would go see Hickory strickly because of Andrew McCutchen.

Lex. actually has some good players too. Brian Bogusevic, Koby Clemens, Joshua Flores, Eli Iorg are all very good players. Wait till you see the size of Clemens.

The WV has a few good players but no top prospects like these other teams. I would go to Greensboro vs. Lex. if Volstad is pitching (Gnb. actually has a few other good players). But if you cant catch Volstad then go to Hic. vs. Lex to see Andrew McCutchen. But either way Lex.'s team will be worth the money.

Furthermore, Greensboro has several other pitching prospects. Florida went crazy in last year's draft, drafted, I think, like 3 HS pitchers in the 1st and supplemental rounds. Makes for an interesting team to come in.

That's a good point too. Iorg was interesting to me last year at draft time, at least.

Thanks for the info guys....Greensboro comes to town in like 2 weeks, but Hickory wont be back in town until August...Yikes!! As for the Lexington team...I want to see the Clemens kid, but he is out for another month IIRC....
