For some reason the box score shows Clinton scoring 1 run, but it doesnt have any runs charged to Fisher. I also checked the log for the game and in the 5th inning it doesnt say anything about Clinton scoring a run.

*EDIT* They just corrected the box score and Fishers final line is: 5 IP, 6 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 6 K

This is the answer to your question about Janish...

Dragons Remain in Third Place with 5-3 Win
05/07/2006 12:03 AM -
Clinton, IA – The Dayton Dragons (15-14) were trying to rebound from Friday’s 11-7 come from behind win by the Clinton Lumber Kings (9-20) in the third game of the four game series at Alliant Energy Field. The Dragons got 5.0 innings of shutout baseball from starter Carlos Fisher (WP, 4-1) and early RBI’s from Jay Bruce, B.J. Szymanski and Bobby Mosby on route to beating Clinton 5-2. With the win, Dayton remains in a third place tie in the Midwest Leagues Eastern Division.

The Dragons jumped out in front early scoring one run in the top of the first inning off Clinton starter Zach Phillips (LP, 1-2). Paul Janish picked up a one out single to right and came all the way around to score on Bruce’s 10th double of the season down the line in left. On the play at the plate that resulted with the Bruce hit, Janish beat the throw, but was dinged up by a collision with Lumber King catcher Billy Killian.

In the third, the Dragons added three more runs off the Lumber Kings with a four hit inning. Eric Eymann who came in for Janish in the bottom of the second, led off with a single and moved up to third on Bruce’s second double of the game. A Szymanski plated Eymann and the lead was 2-0. With one down Mosby slapped a base hit to left that scored Bruce for a 3-0 lead. Lumber King leftfielder Joe Kemp overran the Mosby hit, allowing Szymanski to score all the way from first to push the lead to 4-0.

Mike DeJesus continued to provide the Dragons a spark in a utility role, getting the start at second base and knocking home the fifth run of the night for Dayton on a base hit to center that scored Mosby and gave the Dragons a 5-0 lead.

Fisher was shutout good once again for the Dragons, tossing 5.0 more innings of no run baseball. The right hander won his fourth consecutive start and ran his team high consecutive innings of scoreless baseball to 23.0 dating back to April 12th against Lansing, which was also his last and only loss on the season.

The bullpen on Saturday bent but did not break, as Clinton plated single runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings to close to within 5-3. Blake Hendley (SV, 5) managed to get the final out of the eighth inning and kept the Lumber Kings off the board in the ninth to pick up his fifth save. In his two seasons in Dayton, Hendley is a combined 8-0, with 19 saves in 44 appearances for the Dragons.

The Dragons and Lumber Kings wrap up the four game series Sunday afternoon from Alliant Energy Field in Clinton, Iowa. 1410 ESPN Radio WING AM will carry the game live beginning with the Dragons pre game show at 2:30 PM. Saturday’s first pitch is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
