What a catch. Probably would have just made it over the wall, but just a fly out in the score book. Too bad.

how does one tour a hammy? :)

Similar to the Tour de France? A lot of time on a bike, and not much else to show for it?

Only time in my life I have ever liked a current cubs player.

Here's some good pictures from the robbing:

Hill watches the ball fly and thinks: Aw Crap....

Hill reacts to Pierre's catch:

Bonds gets robbed and the Cubs still lose. That's a nice combo.

Oh, if only that were true.

I know, I meant modestly about the HR record. There hopefully isn't a "chase" update every AB for him.

Gotta love ESPN. They were like a shark with chum in the water when they thought Clarett was going to blow the lid off tOSU for cheating, yet they cover cheater Bonds like the Greatest American Hero is pursuing some grand achievement.

Gotta love ESPN. They were like a shark with chum in the water when they thought Clarett was going to blow the lid off tOSU for cheating, yet they cover cheater Bonds like the Greatest American Hero is pursuing some grand achievement.

But this is different. Clarett is an "amateur collegiate" athlete who is exploited by big universities who use the poor athletes for their own financial gain. Bonds is a "professional" athlete who gets paid to be followed.

One more note on Clarett - Those big TV contracts paid to those big universities who "exploit" the athlete - yep - be careful which mouth will bite you.

The comparison was "cheaters." ESPN obviously thought it was wrong if what Clarett was saying was true and attempted to be judge and jury on the matter to find tOSU guilty of cheating. Here, they are following Bonds, a cheater, for an accomplishment that most likely would not have been possible were it not for the cheating.

Exploitation of a college athlete is your soapbox that is not a part of my comparison.

I was at the game and went to it to see history. Needless to say, I wasn't happy, lol.
