Griffey hasn't been exactly ripping it up since coming off the DL (except for one certain AB last week). I wonder why he was immune to the lineup switch?

Moving Freel down the order and Dunn to second is the extent of this lineup switch - why pick out Junior to make a snide comment about?

Moving Freel down the order and Dunn to second is the extent of this lineup switch - why pick out Junior to make a snide comment about?
Because no one is safe...

Honestly though, the whole Jr staying in CF gets at me. It is more than obvious that he is better suited in LF. I wonder if he would ever get moved out of the 3 hole.

Junior hit a bomb that must have been a foot or two from being fair. Junior was in disbelief that it was called foul as well as the fans in the bleachers in right. things just arent going the way of the offense lately.

krivsky is going to have to show some cards in his hand here very soon. Ramirez has shown vast improvement over last year and deserves to be in the rotation right now and not sent down to Louisville because Dave Williams is getting paid a couple of million dollars.

I wonder who would score more runs in a game between the Cubs and Reds?

Strikes Out Looking
05-18-2006, 01:38 PM
What should happen today:

1. Unless the Reds come back and make this a game, Dave Williams should pitch until his arm falls off--then he is sent to the minors. (I was typing when he was pinchhit for--he should still go to Chattanooga or Sarasota tonight)
2. His spot in the rotation goes to the Lizard.
3. Rick White goes back to Springfield permanently.
4. All hitters are made to watch game tapes of the first 30 games of the season and compare them to this week. Other teams have adapted to the Reds and the Reds offense now needs to adapt as well.

My feeling is the Reds play well when there's reason to have emotion about the games, but if they're playing a cellar dweller or a day game they like to coast through. I don't get a feeling of top-flight professionalism day-in-day out from the team: we should be jarred by the intensity with which they play every game. That's Major League baseball. The Reds are like a lousy mother-they respond based on their mood.

Well, they lost on Opening Day. Lost 2 of 3 to the Cards in StL. Split with the Rockies when they were in 1st. Beat MIL 3 of 4 in MIL, Beat PIT 3 of 4 in Cincy and lost 3 straight to a hot Philly team. I don't see a real pattern here.
