Arroyo was quoted as saying that is he very comfortable in thorwing 120+ because he does not throw that many fastballs anymore.
I remember when Quantrill came to NY and told everyone he wanted to pitch every day. By the end of the year Torre was ripped apart for listening to him.

Edabbs44...I like your posts, but it's a shame you can't get any solid posts with a boardmember in posting postion. People give you great set ups, but then you don't follow it up with a great post of your own to drive the point home. Your great posts are unconnected to anybody elses post so they are what I call solo-posts. Some might consider those "useless".

He is.

The sure sign of a great poster is PISP

Ltlabner

Exactly boognish. I mean, to really be considered a "power poster" he has to be able to drive home a good point with solid PISP stats right? I mean, if he just makes a random post, that makes a decent point, but it's solo, then, what does it really matter. Just being "on the tread" is tantmount to being walked right?

Interesting....
going into tonight the Reds are 12th in the majors in ERA! More impressively, they are 7th in the majors over the last 30 days.

Arroyo #1 in ERA
Harang #20
Claussen #40
EZ would be #27, not a qualifier yet

BTW, edabbs, before your head gets too big with all these rep points and accurate predictions, just be advised that Denorfia predicted that you would predict that 5 run inning and Dunn blast.

He did it while he was stealing your wallet. Check your countertop. It's gone.

Don't worry - he left it in your mailbox. He just took it to let you know he could.

Well..this one officially belongs to the Reds. Great win guys, and fare thee well C. Montgomery Burns.

IN other news....The Spurs are down by 7 at home to the Mavs midway through the 4th quarter. Chris Denorfia has now replaced Tony Parker at the point. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and methinks Deno will lead them back.

I'm sure he will also replace Parker as Eva Longoria's sackmate once his defiling of the Mavs is complete.

Brightside: Coffey didn't have to pitch tonight.
Darkside: Coffey can't pitch every time Cincy is winning.

Hint: The Reds need pitching help.

true dat. true dat.

hey, any chance coffey is ambidextrous? then he really could pitch every night.

Wow ... Shackleford, Burns, White, and Hammond completely suck. And Weathers hasn't been doing hot as of late either. Hammond has momentum and has done well as of late, but the others are just getting rocked. We need Mercker back stat, and someone .. ANYONE to step up here.

Burns gets out of it! 32 pitches. 1/3 of what Arroyo had.

GG screwed me again, he missed up the score, Yanks lose 9-5.

He updated the score. The board wasn't up-to-date.

Giants are beating the Cardinals 9-1 in the 8th.
Giants should win unless the put Danny Graves into pitch the 9th.
