Me either. I'd rather he and Eddie switch spots.

Or Kearns 2nd, Edwin 5th, and Phillips 7th. I like Phillips hitting lower in the order.

Normally, I wouldn't like Phillips in the 2 hole, but he seems like a very streaky player. And he started hitting some balls in Detroit real hard.

I really have liked what I've seen from Ross' bat. Like Phillips, he's got a quick bat through the zone, and hits it on the screws often with a very controlled swing.

Ross has played well...many maligned him for having no bat when WK acquired him, but he seems to have batspeed and a little pop. Kind of lends credence to the theory many espoused that LaRue would be dealt when we acquired him.

I am a LaRue fan, and we got him for a decent rate, but the limited playing time is driving his value down...is there a master plan I am not seeing here?

Can I ask what you do for Sportscenter/ESPN?

I'm intrigued...

It varies; I'm kind of all over the place, but probably 60-70% of the time, I'm doing different studio jobs for the studio-based shows here in Bristol. Camera operation, specialty camera operation (think the one that does the big wide shot at the beginning of the show), and some audio stuff for shows like BBTN, Sportscenter, Sunday Countdown, etc.

I also produce short promotional pieces for when our departments go to major conferences and such, but that's not quite as visually cool as the other stuff. Politically-careerwise, it's better for networking however, and I enjoy the creativity aspect of it.

If the goal is short-term, I could see him bringing a bullpen arm from a team with a surplus (though those are few and far-between), but I don't think he will bring a high-level pitching prospect, so maybe Krivsky is just waiting to see how the first half plays out.

Every one of the 3 catchers brings something to the team, I personally just think the roster construction could be better with an extra OF instead; though we consider Freel an OF primarily now. I guess I am just biased against the 3 catcher concept, especially since only Valentin has a second position--though Bob boone thought LaRue could play the outfield :p:

Boognish...I agree. LaRue would have to be packaged with a few youngsters to bring a solid middle-reliefe type to town. No way he brings a #1 or #2 starter. I also like all three catchers because all three have different strength/weakness but I think LaRue will bring the most back in trade return.

You're kidding, right?

I would let Arroyo go as long as he comfortably is able.

Arroyo was quoted as saying that is he very comfortable in thorwing 120+ because he does not throw that many fastballs anymore.
