I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Hatteberg has a nice game tonight.

Bush will get rocked hard against the ginormous potential of the Reds offense. Hatt will drive in a pair with doubles in the 3rd and 4 innings.

Ok, I'll put down the magic 8 Ball now, it's usually wrong anyway.

I do agree think it will be payback night for what he did to us up in beer town.

Red Leader

Yeah, I think Bush makes it through the order the first time relatively fine, and then gets waxed the 2nd time through. Something like 5 runs through 4 IP.

Carlos Lee, another Reds killer (noticing a trend), up next with Clark on first. Lee falls quickly behind in the count 0-2, which is good for Arroyo, because he loves expanding the zone on hitters when he gets ahead and then dropping that curveball into the zone.

Clark steals 2nd.

Lee hits a little flare out to center that Brandon Phillips manages to track down. At least someone patroling center has range.

Felipe Lopez leads off for the Redlegs. He's up there in Runs Created this year as well, #2 on the team behind Dunn. I hate seeing him bat leadoff, but he's the best of what's around.

The count runs full to 3-2 -- nice to see Felipe taking some pitches and working Bush a little. Lopez walks, to force Bush into the stretch.

Prince Fielder up first. I note, for the record, that I'm conflcited in this PBP call due to Fielder's presence in the Wackbags starting lineup in my Yahoo league.

John Fay joins the booth for 2nd inning distractions and shennanigans.

"Easy-E" up next with a chance to add a few 2-out RBIs to the old total. Here's what RBI-heads miss about the stat -- if Eddie E drives in runs here, it's because (in part) Kearns had a great AB to draw the walk and Hatteberg did a great bit of hitting to put the ball through the hole into the outfield. RBIs = Everyone's Talent.

Eddie E hits a ball towards left field that Bill Hall makes a spectacular play in the hole to hold everyone to the infield.

Honestly, I can't think of a soul who wouldn't rather have LaRue or Valentin up in this spot, regardless of what David Ross does here. He's the 3rd catcher on the Cincinnati Reds for a reason.

Bush runs his pitch count to 77 on a ball to move the count to 1-2 -- not very presidential like at all. Ross lines a shot down the 3rd base line as 2 runs score!!! 7-1 Reds.

Bronson Arroyo up to turn the batting order over by just making an out and going back to the mound. Really, the only bad outcome to this AB is him injuring himself going back to the dugout. Anything other than that is a total positive.

Bronson Arroyo works the count a bit (maybe he can hear Chris Chambliss talking to other hitters from where he sits on the bench?) and runs the count to 2-2. Arroyo watches a pitch go right down the middle and heads back to the mound.

Austin Kearns up next after Dunn's Rally Killing and Meaningless Home Run™. Kearns works the count even before striking out on a 2-2 pitch. He'd have had a double if only Adam would've been able to hit a single instead.

Scott "Mr. Hat" Hatteberg is up next, doing his whole Billy Beane thing and getting ahead in the count before running it full with a foul ball at 3-2. I wonder, belatedly, if he refers to his bat as "Mr. Twig" -- or whether it talks back to him with a vaguely European accent.

Mr. Hatteberg takes a walk, because Puppets don't run.

Demeria is chased. Break in the action.

OK. Who on this forum sent the email to Jr saying he didn't have the range to play CF?

Demeria is chased. .

However, if still hanging out with Willy Aames, not "chaste."

Bad night for the Brewers, though they have the advantage as the Lizard(Who is about to be exposed as green) and Claussen(we know this guys history against the Crew.....bleh) are next.

I would say this game was very very important for the Reds...........

I'd say the REDS trevails recently have been due more to an offensive slump (which hopefully this game is sign they are coming out) than poor pitching from the starters. Lizard and Claussen have been serviceable so far and I don't think we should be looking too poorly at their games before they play.

Not bad. Can you tell me I'll ever find true love? Will I become wealthy? How long will I live and what are the numbers for Rolling Cash tomorrow?

Actually, that HR will fuel the anti-Dunn crowd. He hit it when the score was 8-1 in the Reds favor. It was a meaningless HR.

Justin Lehr (he of the +7 ERA) is your new Brewers pitcher.

"Easy" Edwin Encarnacion up continuing the inning for the Reds. Hatteberg, no threat to run at first. In fact, if he takes too big a leadoff, he becomes ripe for picking. Encarnacion stands patiently at the plate, seeing what Lehr has to offer as he runs the count to 3-1 (Marty said "Mercy" -- and I guarantee he was watching WWE Raw, as Lita is wearing one amazingly revealing top and just came on camera).

Eddie, Eddie, Eddie -- can't you see. Sometimes your walks just hypnotize me.

Easy E walks.
