Gives the Big Donkey a couple days off with the off day tomorrow.. I think Phillips will get on base tonight so hopefully Ross can keep him on and allow Junior to continue his spectical. These pest few games it has been Junior carrying these guys..

Davis had a bad outing last time against the REDS, but mostly he has dominated us.

Lefty.

The Brewers are running out a pitcher who has had severe control problems so Narron puts in his hacker lineup. Makes sense to me.

Combined BBs for the top 4 hitters in the lineup is ???

Answer: 21

Phillips 7 in 135
Ross 0 in 15 (2 in 60 for his career)
Jr 6 in 82
RA 8 in 93

Not that it should matter to Narron, but it's interesting that Felo is sitting out on his bobblehead night.

Why not BP and SS and RA at 2nd?

The logic is mind boggling. The Brewers have an awful pen so the idea should be to put out an a liineup with a struggling pitcher that will run up his pitch count and get into the pen as quickly as possible. So instead Narron sits his two most patient hitters and still manages not to get Freel out there.

It will serve him right if Davis is able to pitch 7+ innings.

Ryan Freel has a .518 OBP and .957 OPS vs lefties this year. Smart to have him on the bench for this game.

I agree. This is not the right lineup for Davis.

I don't have too much of a problem with this lineup. As much grief as I throw towards Freel though, I would have liked to seen him get the start tonight, especially against the lefty.

With the day off tomorrow and the likes of first place Arizona, the Cubs, Astros, and Cardinals looming in the horizon......it makes sense to give Dunn and Lopez, who have both logged more innings than anyone, a day off tonight giving them two in a row.

Why not BP and SS and RA at 2nd?
Narron has Aurilia on his rotisserie team and needs RA to gain SS eligibility.

Note: For all fantasy gurus, I realize RA has SS eligibility from last season. But I thought it was funny.

I think Ross for Dunn is sort of an obvious move. Ross just comes back, Dunn needs a day off, lefty going.

Resting FeLo I can understand too.

Don't understand Hatteberg against Davis. Maybe it is to get those walks, which flyer85 tells us is a good possibility.

I think it's good for Dunn to get the night off.

I would rather Phillips play SS, but I can understand not wanting to shift him as well.

Wow, Felipe sits out on his own bobblehead night. At least Willy Moe got called back up from Louisville in time for his last year. (yeah I know he was on a rehab assignment)

I don't quite get sitting your 3 team leaders in walks against the guy with control problems...

Bob Boone lineup.

I've been thinking the lineups have had a Boone-ish aroma lately.

To give Felo and Dunn a rest is fine.

Move Phillips to SS
Freel to 2B
Aurillia to 1B

Why not getting Freel in there vs. Lefty is sort of silly if you ask me?
Also, why not sliding Phillips to SS vs. range-challenged Aurillia is also weird?

3 of our top 6 bullets in the holster aren't playing tonight....should have found a way to get Freel in there somehow/someway.

I'm still trying to figure out why Narron has to try to win Mgr of the Year by concocting a different lineup every night.

Is Jerry Narron in redszone purgatory?

People have wanted Dunn to have a day off for weeks now, and now he finally gets one and alot of people still complain.

It's baseball, you are going to get a lineup like this every once in awhile.

im intersted to see ross in the lineup in left field if it's anything like his last game as a dodger where he bombed that grand slam we wont' lose much offensively

Don't mind the Ross for Dunn move he needs a day off, but don't understand not having Felo in the lineup. I really liked Lopez and Phillips batting 1 and 2 last nite gave us some needed speed at the top. When you can sweep a team why mess with a good thing.

That is exactly what I was thinking. No reason for Hatteberg to start with a lefty pitching when you can get freel in the lineup, but Dunn and Lopez need to have a day off every now and then.

Well, it makes me angry.... just because Felipe is 1 for 10 against Davis, he sits him on his bobblehead night. That just stinks, especially with the way he's been hitting lately.

He's the man of honor, and he's on the bench. It might be different if he wasn't batting well, but he is.

Stinks, stinks, stinks! :thumbdown

While driving around today I listened to 1460 The Fan in Columbus. This is not a usual habbit but "Special K" was going to be on with their afternoon guy....I missed the interview but after the interview they made a special offer for half priced tickets to Reds game when you enter "BUCKEYES" as a passcode or special offer coupon....I have emailed the radio station and thought you all could benefit from this too...be on the lookout.

I'm sure Narron knows more about baseball line-ups than I do but wouldn't a sweep against a division rival go a long ways toward saying good bye to the funk they've had for the last 2 weeks. I agree with giving some one ( Dunn in particular) a day off but damn why take out FeLo too and not have Freel there? Is Narron just happy with taking 2 of 3?

Not my favorite lineup.

Dunn's absence, I don't mind so much... Freel was due for an opportunity to play. Hatteberg... ehhhh... he does work pitchers and walks more than he should for as little pop as he has. Cody Ross... another ehhhh...

If they work a win out of it, who cares?
