In another thread Jesusfan mentioned having Yan, German, and Coffey would make a decent lineman. Being a huge football fan, that got me thinking, what would our reds team look like if they made a football roster.
Heres the best I could put together:
OFFENSE
QB: Adam Dunn 6'6'' 275 -Former Quarterback, definately dont want him playing defense
RB: Javier Valentin 5'10'' 210 -Latino version of the bus?
FB: Jason Larue 5'10'' 205 -Looks like a hitter
WR: Ryan Freel 5'10'' 180 -Steve Smith prototype?
WR: Quinten McCracken 5'8'' 185 -Steve Smith's grandpa prototype?
TE: David Ross 6'2'' 225 -We all know he can catch
LT: Todd Coffey 6'5'' 230 -He's gotta be bigger than that
LG: Esteban Yan 6'4'' 255
C: Franklyn German (if acquired) 6'7'' 260
RG: David Weathers 6'3'' 230 Solid Veteran presence on the line
RT: Rick White 6'4'' 240 This veterans best days are behind him
DEFENSE
NT: Aaron Harang 6'7'' 270 Biggest Man on the team fills up the middle
DE: Scott Hatteberg 6'1'' 210
DE: Ken Griffey Jr. 6'3'' 230 Tried to fit him in where he didnt have to run that much
LB: Austin Kearns 6'3'' 235 Backup QB if Dunn goes down
LB: Rich Aurilia 6'1'' 190 He's always looked mean to me
LB: Edwin Encarnacion 6'1'' 195
LB: Brandon Claussen 6'1'' 200 We all know he can throw out some "hits"
CB: Brandon Phillips 6'0'' 195 Good speed
CB: Chris Denorfia (call up) 6'0'' 195 Ditto
FS: Bronson Arroyo 6'5'' 190 I love this guy had to put him somewhere
SS: Felipe Lopez 6'1'' 185 He can definately hit
K/P: Adam Dunn: I've seen him kick the ball around a time or two
