Wasn't there a better pinch hitter than Valentin?

I am pretty sure Valentin has been our best pinch hitter.. around .300 or so

I know we shouldn't count our chickens before they hatch, but so far this year has felt like a magical one for us Reds fans, I think. With Pujols down it seems like the Reds want close the gap ASAP.

I woke the baby up and scared one of our dogs just out behind the trailer. Eventually I'm going to learn not to wake up the baby, we're 15 days into this thing.

Surprisingly, Georgy sounded pretty excited. He's a Griffey fan too you know. If LaRue or someone had hit that, he would have been bored sounding.

Welsh screamed like a little girl on contact. :)

I had to look it up to see if my gut was right that Kearns hits into a boatload of double plays and it was. He is now tied for second in the league with 10.

He is having a great year though, don't get me wrong. I'll take his production but boy those twin killings hurt.

Great win and another reason why a guy like Jr. is so valuable. I think people are starting to see now what a clutch player he is. As long as Reds can stay in the hunt I think we will see more of those kind of hits.

Still a long way to go in the season, but the Reds had the Cardinals down earlier this season.....lets close the gap to 1 game tomorrow. :beerme:

Says that on espn.com too. Guessing the Stats Inc. stringer hit the wrong button or something. Funnily enough, the "how they scored" thing on espn is accurate.

ummm did Jr. just give Jim Day a cup check? I wasnt paying close attention but here is what I saw. Day ends interview all of the sudden says "owww" or "ohhhh" "he just hit me, glad that was off camera". Or did I just imagine all of that?

I saw it....it was either Junior or another player off camera.....that was a very bizarre sequence of events.
