Of course....Hammond will not go out there for the 9th....that is why they have 12 pitchers, even though they do not really need 12 pitchers this year. So they can have an excuse to have White/Burns/and now Mays pitch.

Yeah, but two of those years were "lost" injury years - last year it was .369, which is probably right where it will settle this year, although I believe it could end higher.

And I agree - with a 5 run lead I might of stopped him at third, just for all the hearts and minds out there.

Carpenter vs. Milton = no chance.

That said, the Reds have often done very well in games like this.

Milty can fall off at any time, but color me as optimistic about him as I've been in 13 months if he throws out a quality start tonight. His location and velocity have been much better all year, with 1.5 game exception. His era minus that blowup start is well under three. I'm optimistic, but realize he's a bottle of nitro out there at all times.

By the way, Jason LaRue? Let's hope a trade is announced soon.

Anyone optimistic about Milty yet?

With the blowup start 4/18
45.2 Innings
44 Hits

4.14 earnie

Without it

Except that you never really get there. By the time you arrive there, there has become here, at least from your perspective.

Details! :D

Thats 2 shut outs at St. Louis this year.....

Anyone optimistic about Milty yet?

I think if you look it up, I was optimistic about Milton in April. I was sure he'd have a good season and was wondering what Arroyo would do. <HA!> I guess you can't call them all. ;)

George Grande quote of the night: "whoever rules the central division, usually wins the central division." Thats deep.

It was funny, but I think what he was referring to was a team's win-loss record with divisional opponents. And the Reds are putting a hurt on them. ;)

Well it did stretch into last year... as far as .365 his OB% the last 3 years is a hair below that. I'll take it as long as he doesn't have to go first to home too much.. that's just scary.

Why oh why was he waved home in a 5-0 game, B9, 0 outs? Think there'd be any banter in Redsland today had he gotten hurt in a play at the plate, esp. after the next guy up doubles?
