Is Gapper Toast???

I watched the game on WGN last night and saw MR. RED in the stands, but no sign of Gapper. Has the new ownership sent Gapper to the minor leagues?

I once saw Mr Red with us in the upper level as he was greeting kids. Just as he turned to leave the area, he turned into the isle bannister right in the crotch.

Kids had no clue what just happened but I would have LOVED to get that on video tape. You could tell her was seriously writhing but had to put on his gameface (no pun intended).

He slowly made his way up the stairs and out of there to apply ice no doubt.

Many of those mascots are now females, especially at the minor league levels. I know the Richmond Rooster... she's a cutie.

Gapper on the other hand is nice to children and old people, brought back Coca Cola Classic and has that Sesame Street "would never hurt a fly" feel to him.

Actually, I think Mr. Red looks like one of those '60s-'70s Japanese superheroes, like Ultraman or something like that. I could just imagine Mr. Red and Gapper duking it out over a miniature Tokyo.

Yeah he is making a couple of rehab starts with the Lookouts and then getting called up to replace Rick White.

When I was a toddler my Father took me to games all the time. I was terrified of him. I haven't been to GABP yet, but I am planning to attend at least one before I move the GA this summer. I will be bringing a wiffle ball bat and a can of mace.

I was about to write these exact words before TeamBoone beat me to it. I don't like Gapper for myself, but I like whatever makes my kids happy. Chill guys, he's harmless. One of the reasons baseball is the best is because the whole family can enjoy it. And his presence has enabled me to stay at the park another two innings more than once!
