He's back

Ken Griffey Jr. is in the starting lineup.

He just got done with some running in the outfield and is about to start taking early batting practice.

Thank goodness. Every time he gets nicked up the fear of the 15-day DL is in the mind of every Reds fan. Glad he's okay, Elizardo is probably pretty thrilled too ;)

He's taking early batting practice? I thought he was lazy and didn't work hard.

With that said... tonight's lineup looks like this, if I'm a betting man:

Freel-3B
Lopez-SS
Griffey-CF
Dunn-LF
Hatteberg-1B
Kearns-RF
Phillips-2B
Valentin-C
Lizard-P

I'd like to get Aurilia in the, but do you take Phillips or Freel out and if you have Rich in there, where do you hit him?

Also, Ross may catch, but he's been fairly consistant about Javy catching EZ.
Thoughts???

Narron won't bat 3 lefties in a row. As for Javy, I hope he catches tonight because he handles Elizardo well.

So if the 8-game streak gets snapped tonight... I am sure some brainiacs will blame a certain Hall-of-Famer.

 :help:

I'd bet Rich will be playing, Freel on the bench

SS Lopez
2B Phillips
CF JR
3B Aurilia
LF Dunn
1B The Hat
RFKearns
C Ross

He has brought the line-up card out the last 8 games. He is the reason for the streak! ;)

Javy will probably catch for another reason. His 2005 stats vs Maddux were great. 2006, not so good.

Bucky and Jerry are both old school and that says split the lefties

Valentin will catch surely based on his success against Maddux and his spanish speaking allows for easier communique with the Lizard King.

If he doesn't I would expect it to be LaRue though, as he's caught a few of EZs starts this year also.

No I'm sorry it's not. But I have some good news for you An American Werewolf in Paris is on WGN tonight. So it's kind of like a win win situation.

Geez sorry I am going to miss it. I have my 1st softball game in about 10 years to play tonight. Batting Cleanup and playing 1st, baby! It should be interesting, probably Dunn-esque night. 1-4 HR 2 RBI, and 2-3 fumbles w/ the glove.

Hopefully I should be back before it ends have fun guys!
