With the Reds luck, this guy will be a Cy Young winner within 5 years.

He was a semi-crowd fav in dayton - guess they didn't want Phillippe Valiquette.

Stevens, IMHO, will probably end up at Lake County.

Stevens is Justin Germano Jr. hardly a loss.

6th rounder a couple of years back, I would say highly marginal, not much "stuff" that is much different than anyone else.

Nice fodder for AA at somepoint.

Still like the trade.

I know Justin Germano. I know a Joe Germaine. I know a Cesar Geronimo. I know a Joe Garaigola, Jr. Is the fifth choice, none of the above??

:D ;)

That's a give away. Even if Stevens makes it, it will be so far down the road to have no impact on the present or future. Meanwhile, we have our 2nd baseman we didn't have before the year started.

The deal looked great before.
It looks spectacular now. great move.

Freel?Uh, no. Freel is backup quality only at either 2b or 3b and cannot even come close defensively to being adequate at 2b. Freel is what he is--utility guy that can fill in anywhere 3-5 games a week. As an everday player, he is ordinary. Phillips is a true second sacker, and arguably maybe a better option at SS and makes flipping with Felipe a possibility.

You wonder, and don't throw pies, if Olmedo has really, really, really grown up like some people have said, one could wonder if Felipe is the odd man out at some point, slide Olmedo to 2nd, and Phillips to SS. Let BP lead off and steal bases and let Olmedo hit 8th.

Again, just thinking out loud. Like Sgt. Schultz, I know nothing.

Hard to overstate how good a trade this was. Every team in baseball knew Phillips was available.

Aw, cross another player off my list through whom I was getting "insider" information.
