Aurilia hitting 4th against a RHP? Nice.that .550 OPS plays well. Don't want to gang up on the pitcher, he needs a breather in the middle of the lineup.

that .550 OPS plays well. Don't want to gang up on the pitcher, he needs a breather in the middle of the lineup.

Richie is slugging a whopping .302 against right-handers this year.

against RH pitchers Rich is the worst hitter in the lineup and should be hitting 8th. This has to be some great cosmic plot. Jerry needs to enter "The Reds Zone".

reds44

The 0-5 without EE probably has more to do with Narron batting RA 4th then anything.

Johnny Footstool
06-14-2006, 11:47 AM
Phillips should bat 7th.

Other than that, Narron must have a desperate fear of batting lefties back-to-back.

flyer85
06-14-2006, 11:47 AM
I can see batting him there against a LHP, however, he should NEVER bat anywhere near 4th with a RHP on the mound.

BTW, Jerry should have PH for him against Turnbow last night.

A big reason for a lot of solo HRs from Dunn is the two guys batting in front of him have struggled to get on base.

reds44
06-14-2006, 11:51 AM
Phillips should bat 7th.

Why? He leads the team in batting average, stolen base %, and rbis. Sounds like somebody who should bat very high in the lineup.

I'd bat Dunn 4th and BP 5th.

I think it has to be said that Lizard has been a godsend to the Reds this year. a Competent pitcher who was in our minors. Who would have ever known :D

I've kept my mouth shut about this because I do think his loss has hurt us quite a bit, but I have no real reason to believe that he shouldn't be on the 15-day DL. A sprained ankle can give you real problems if you don't let it off the hook completely for awhile. If it were later in the season I'd say have him push through it, but given where we are now, both calendar-wise and otherwise, I think it was smart to play it safe if there was really any question about it. Narron doesn't make that decision all on his own anyway, there are doctors and trainers giving their sound opinions to him.
