Harang's been consistantly good....maybe he's hit a little funk, which, like hitting, happens. He's still kept the team in the games giving them a chance to win. I'm not too worried about him.

Claussen on the other hand has done nothing (except for a couple starts), except ruin games and make us mad.

Harang has been far from consistantly good this year. He has been a ping pong ball. Mercy.

Dunn expanded his zone.

I'm not defending Claussen; I'm pointing out that the other starters are also showing signs of succumbing to the warm weather. Arroyo and Milton pitched badly enough to lose against division rivals that sit below us in the standings. Those are lame starts, no matter how you slice it.

Still the Reds pitching numbers are the best they've been in years, and they've done it with a terrible bullpen. I'm not convinced that the four main starters are sliding yet. I read that Harang had the flu recently, Milton was left in too long last time, Arroyo can't be on every night, EZ was fabulous.

But I'm at the end of my rope with Claussen.

You must expect perfect baseball every start then, because to me, he's been a fine major league pitcher for us. No game has gotten out of hand, and he's had a few gems in there as well.

Not Arroyo-like, but most pitchers haven't been.

We must have different definitions of expectations when it comes to major league pitching.

That White Sox "little ball" offense is 2nd in the AL in HRs and 4th in SLG.

I agree Claussen needs to go.

Here's Joe Mays. He wonders what to do with the plastic helmet on wood thingy in his hands.

Bengals only able to muster a field goal against the stout Bears defense.

Aurilia botches up another play at 3rd base - may as well bring Castro in and get him some work.

Something tells me the Reds aren't coming back to win this one.

Aurilia throws it away. There's that great defense by the veteran Aurilia.

Freddy Garcia who looks like he's pitching in Game 3 of the World Series.

That ought to lower his ERA.

too bad - I'd let Mays pitch the game out and get him ready for his start Thursday afternoon in Shea.

Yan's got a pretty red glove. Would have been interesting, say if the Cubs would have picked him up.

Rick White can't throw strikes, in a no-pressure situation when down 11-4.

I wonder if they plan to send EE down for a rehab assignment

Couple of things on two Sox pitchers--since when is Freddy Garcia working in the high 80s, and wasn't David Riske also a mid 90s fastball thrower?

I was at a party and came out to my car to check the scores and heard the Reds were down like 10-3 around the 4th or 5th. I guess it was a good day to not watch the Reds. Im surprised the Reds got beat this bad but only gave up 1 homerun.

Could anyone tell if Narron was upset with Claussen?
Also how did Mays look? I see he went 4 innings and gave up 2 runs, but also noticed he gave up 7 hits in that time.

Exactly. I sure didn't see much small ball tonight from the Sox.

I retired early to watch the movie "Signs" with the kids.

Prophetic? ;)
