Is Aurilia really hurt that bad - I didn't see a DL quickly like our other 3rd baseman. I guess veteran leadership begins in the infirmary

Without seeing the lineup, I would have guessed Castro at 3B if it wasn't going to be Aurilia. So I'm happy.

It would be good to see Ramirez have good start against a top flight opponent like the Mets. I'm cautiously optimistic that we might have a pretty good young starting pitcher in Ramirez.

Doc. Scott

I was jazzed that Elizardo had his best start to date against a decent-hitting (if impatient) club like Milwaukee. You wouldn't have been able to take it as seriously if it were, say, Pittsburgh or the Cubs.

06-20-2006, 07:06 PM
Is this lineup the correct blend of defense, speed, and power?

Especially if you substitute Ross behind the plate and Encarnacion for Hatteberg at first base. EE would probably be an upgrade over the Hat in all three:defense, speed, and power, even at an unfamiliar position.

CTA513.... i agree with you. That GAB is a nice ballpark to look at....but it seems to give these hitters bad habits...or they just flat out don't really care that they are doing it, but going for the fences more often than not..is going to cause thse slumps.

I can deal with Griffey and Dunn doing this..... but when i see Lopez or Freel..who IMO should be .300+ hitters and worried about getting on base, trying to do it, that just shows me that they are wasting their AB's.
