OK. I didn't get tuned into the game until the 3rd inning so I've only seen Mays pitch two innings but what I want to know is where is that newfound speed that was talked about in this morning's Enquirer? It said he was hitting 89-91 MPH but the best (way best) I've seen is 87. Usually he's having trouble hitting in the low 80's. I haven't seen so many 70 MPH pitches since I went to a Pony League game. What gives?

One other thing about Mays. He seems to have a really long delivery and doesn't seem to hide the ball well. I would think that the batters get a pretty good look at the ball throughout the delivery. Any comments?
