I'm a huge fan of Chris Welsh. Great guy. Met him in Pitsburgh last yr and talked with him for about 15 min at the team hotel. Then get this. I see him on the streets the next day and he sees me and calls me by my first name to say hello. How about that? You guys have any of his favorite sayings on tv to share?

"What he doesn't know is that he's got one slower"

-about a KC hitter who just swung through a Chris Hammond 67 mph pitch.

My favorite is when he talks about icing injuries from the inside.

I'm a Welsh fan too. I think he does a good job. I don't have any of Welsh's sayings, but I give him HUGE, I mean HUGE, props for spending all that time with Grande in the booth. It must drive him crazy. GG drives me crazy and I'm not sitting next to him. Welsh is the epitomy of patience and self-control.

I like Chris, but the rally-killing HR stuff is nauseating.

But why, oh, why does he feel the need to be in full uniform for that segment? Do they make him do this? Does it make him feel more a part of the team? These are the real issues congress should be dealing with. I want a resolution or an answer!!

 I never even thought of that! It's not like Chris really does anything. Maybe George Grande just likes seeing him in stretchy pants?

That one I can answer. Dusty still thinks he is a player that just doesn't get to play. He doesn't realize he is the manager, which is why he is so bad at it.

I'm a big fan of the Creeper. My favorite thing I've heard him say was something about a really nasty breaking ball someone threw up there, "I'm not sure what that was but let's follow it around and see what it eats."

I could do without the "boot scootin' it down the line" though.

I like the Car-X mechanics of the game. It helps me learn how to play the right way.

Just put a, "SOMETIMES IT SEEMS" in front of it and you got it.

Sometimes it seems is a broad statement. Sometimes it seems George Grande hasn't graduated from 8th grade, doesn't mean he hasn't.

Sometimes it seems Austin Kearns hits into more double plays than the rest of the team combined. Doesn't mean it is true. But SOMETIMES it feels that way.

If we are going to quote someone and make fun of them for it, lets at least be accurate.

I know his father just died, but he was telling a fathers day story, and of all baseballesque memories, he told this touching story of how he hit his dad in the "jewels," while playing catch.

Just thought it was a little odd. He has no other great baseball/ dad stories?
