After losing our last 5 in a row after being Tied for 1st place with the Cards... i get the feeling that ATLEAST our bullpen has went to All-star break a week early.

I mean come on.. what???? 5 blown saves in the last 5 games.. 2 in one game?

And we have YET to win a game in July. Now either we went to break early, the team has caught some news of a trade thats pending and are playing unhappy, or we have just hit a streak of bad luck.

For our sake i hope its that last one.

This is the 3rd time we have lost 5 in a row this season. We need to win atleast ONE in Atlanta to lock up an above .500 first half of the season.

Also in order to get 15 wins in July we would have to win 15 of our next 20 :(

Now its a short month due to the break so i think we can settle for 11-12 wins and still keep pace in my quest for 90 wins... but just barely.

44 Wins todate... 4 games in ATL before the Break.. so your looking at needing ATLEAST 38 wins AFTER the break.

77 Games are left in the season as of this very minute. 44-41(85)

77 Games to win 46 which would be a 90 Win season on the dot. Thats a .597 Record from this day forward.

20 Games left in July
.500 puts us at 54-51
29 in August
.500 would make it 68-66(69-65 if on + side of .500)
28 in Sept(1 game in OCT)
82-80

Now thats cutting it CLOSE to my MAIN GOAL of an above .500 season.
Which leads me to this.. i wanna see us close out the season like we started and play some more .600 and .700 ball. In order to do that we are gonna have to start putting some wins up at home.

If we take 2 games of every series we have left we would get 48 more wins and finish with a record of 92-70, just for info purpose's :)

1 of every series is only 24 wins of course lol and another losing season :(

As you can see we are ON pace to be above .500, the Question is can we HEAT BACK UP and get a good jump ON STAYING THAT WAY.

We shall find out. Sure would be nice to head into the break by taking a 4 game series.. or atleast splitting it.

Another 7 game winning streak or so would KICK butt as well... and put us 10 games above 500 with 70 games remaining.

I'll revisit this post when we get to 70 Games remaining so that crunching #'s will be by 10's and a good round # to go from with 92 games being cashed in and 70 Remaining. :)

Until then.. enjoy me thinking outload :)

36 wins would put the Reds at 80 wins for the season. 46 of the next 77 (.597) would give them a 90 win season
