I'm embarassed to say that I only got 28 out of 50 right.

However, now that I look at how the major leaguers did on this test, I scored higher than Sean Casey, so I'm okay with that.

36 here but according to the baseball encyclopedia THe question asking who holds the all-time record in the al for the highest BA is incorrect. They are saying that it was Nap Lajoie with a 426 ave in 1901. the encyclopedia says he hit 422. However Rogers Hornsby hit 424 in in 1924. So maybe I got 37.

I should have gotten a couple more of those. I should have gotten Sam Crawford on #12, but I thought it was a trick, so I went with the player with whom I was least familiar (Wilson). I also should have gotten #13 (inexplicably, I said Baker). On #19, I correctly eliminated Hornsby because the qustion asked about the AL record, but chalk me up as one who answered Sisler. On #24, I knew that Mathewson was an inaugural HOFer, but I answered him anyway. (Dumb.) On #28, I answered Ott.

Actually, I believe the question asked who had the highest BA in the American League - and with Lajoie, that would be correct.
Unfortunately, I picked Sisler, and I knew better.

Wow, somehow I got 47 out of 50, but I did guess on a few more. Questions I missed: #4 (newspaper/national pastime), #33 (I had no idea where Scully went to college) and #44 (total number of perfect games).

Questions I guessed correctly: #16 (only catcher to catch four no-hitters) #31 (only player to hit 50+ home runs and strike out fewer than 50 times) and #35 (only player to win ROY, MVP and Cy Young).

Most of the first 30 questions were pre-WWII stuff, and I've read up quite a bit on the era from ~1903-WWII.
