Lets go Natinoal League .. sure its a glorified exhibition, but I'm tired of our league getting embarrased! Lets kick those DH lovers butts!

Bay getting a standing ovation in the home crowd BTW. NL 4-0 in Pittsburgh games too BTW.

Yeah he did, and said he hopes he doesn't have to pitch tonight because he was out too late at a bar last night (seriously).

PLEEEASE put in Redmen from KC .. he has liek a 5 ERA. LMAO. Sad thing is listening to Gardner's pregame comments, he doesn't give a crap and Guillen is playing the game like his life depends on it.

LMAO! Penny is embarrasing these guys.

Wow, how ticked would the Dodgers be if Penny threw his arm out right now. He is just letting it fly.

AWESOME stuff. Tell me this game don't matter by the way Penny just pitched. That was a display, he just embarrased 3 of the best hitters in the game.

Penny put on a masterpiece in the first, but I have to admit if I was a Dodger fan I wouldn't like it. It sure was fun watching it as a baseball fan though.

I have a real problem with Garner basically not even managing the game, with the exception of player substitutions. On the other side, you have Guillen managing it like you should......especially with home field advantage for the WS on the line.

GOREDSGO32

Look at their positions ... Houston is fighting for 2nd to 4th in the NL Central while the White Sox are a favorite to win the WS again this year. Maybe they should give the manager to which team is leading at the break, or close to it.

Remember the 1976 All-Star game? I think it was FOUR Reds and THREE Phillies amoung the Starting 8.

GOREDSGO32
07-11-2006, 09:30 PM
Yeah I read that .. wasn't that when the Reds manager at the time chose all of the players?

GOREDSGO32

Unless there was an injury, the fans picked the players back then also.

I like Clemente.

I am not very sentimental but that ceremony was cool! My dad still says he was the best all around player he ever saw play!

I'm surprised to see Arroyo in to pitch. I figured since he pitched on Sunday he would only be used in case of extra innings.

I love the fact they are recognizing Clemente, but why not do it before the game instead of during?

The game's just been flying by so far, nothing really too exciting. Penny throwin' gas by the first 3 guys was the highlight for me so far.

Not watching the game but I switched it on earlier and, was it just me, or is anybody else receiving the broadcast in spanish? When they come back from commercial I heard english, briefly, then they switch back to spanish announcers.

Here's a little drama at the end. Can't believe the luck of the N.L. nice clutch hitting by Konerko, Glaus and Young though.

9th inning... two outs...

single, ground rule double...

strike 1, strike 2... TRIPLE!

Way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
