1967 ticket stub found

I was ripping out my carpet that was layed in 1967 and i found this red thing laying between the carpet and the tile. I was quite shocked to see this 1967 reds ticket stub. As you can see from the pic, it is in great shape.

The game was Aug 11, 1967 on a friday. Box 14 Tier 6 seat 8 in the lower section at the high price of $3.00.

If you look at a calender for Aug 11, 2006, it will also be a friday.

Is this stub worth any money or do you think the reds museum would like to have it?

Dont know about value - probably not much - but its still very neat and a very interesting place to find the memorabilia. :)

Incase you're wondering.........

The Reds played host to the Dodgers on Aug 11, 1967. Dodgers' lefty Jim Brewer went 7 innings and relief specialist Ron Perranoski went the final two frames to shutout the Reds, 5-0.

Jim Maloney started for Cincinnati and was lifted after allowing 3 runs in his 5 innings of work. Lou Johnson hit the game's only HR when he belted a longball off Reds' pitcher Don Nottebart in the sixth-inning.

Veteran infielder-outfielder Jake Wood, purchased from the Tigers on June 23rd, pinch-hit for Maloney and struck out making him 2-for-17 in his days as a Reds' player. That plate appearance would mark the final MLB appearance by Wood.

I think Jake Wood might of had some minor claim to fame as being mentioned on RedsZone at one time or another.

Good find, it's in great shape. $3 lower box, sounds pretty reasonable.

What a neat find! Very unusual way to find it. I would think the Reds HOF would like it.
BTW LD I remember that game in your signature. I listened to it and it was quite a comeback. One of the more miraculous comeback wins I ever known from the Reds.

Nice item. I just did a fast search on eBay and someone had a 1943 Grandstand ticket stub for the Reds they listed for $9.99 - it didn't sell. But someone else has a Dodgers ticket stub from 1955 and it's up to $23.07. You could probably get a few bucks for it, although you never, sometimes things take off. I sold two vintage dance tickets for about $25.00 each a few months ago. The remaining ones sold for about $3.50 in a couple of groups. Not bad for a $1.00 investment.

By the way, it might enhance the value because it was the one player's last game, even though he was more or less a journeyman.
