I'm starting to hate this Felipe Lopez guy...

1. third chance to drive a run in, did not get any in.
2. has made a horrendous error at SS
3. got tagged out while stealing 2nd base when a catcher could of stole that base with that horrible throw.

I do not think that Narron distrusts Encarnacion. If anything he's being overly cautious with him because he doesn't want to destroy him (or his ankle) too fast. I really do think he will be an everyday player as soon as he (and his ankle) are ready.

But Narron has to understand that Aurilia is NOT an everyday player, healthy or not. He's a groovy dude to have on the bench. I remain completely baffled by this love affair.

Maybe just maybe we could use ERA.

http://cincinnati.reds.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/stats/mlb_individual_player_splits.jsp?playerID=400008&statType=2

Over 5 against lefties, 2.65 vs. righties.

How in the heck can you calculate ERA vs different handed hitters? I just don't see how that could be calculated as runs score usually based on multiple events by both righties and lefties. OPS against is the only realy way to gauge effectiveness vs. different handed hitters.

ERA can't really be calculated on a LH/RH basis. Most sites (espn, yahoo) don't even try. I think it's flawed.

Majewski was piece number 2 in this trade. Harris is 26 and they send him to AAA, thats not a second piece. If he was 21 or 22 then OK, but not 26 and back to AAA. He's a utility guy. Thompson just had sholuder surgery, he could end up great, but he's a longshot. Not piece 2.
