Cardinals won again

That's a good thing. We blew our chance at the Central, IMO. The Cards played HORRIBLE baseball for what approached one month, and we couldn't gain any ground-- lost ground actually. Now, it seems illogical that we'll catch them.

Our best hope is the wild card, where the competition is much more underwhelming. The Cards beat the Dodgers today, which means we can extend our lead over them.

I think it's all wild card from here on out, unless the Cards start circling the drain again, which I highly doubt.

For all of you continuing to assume that EE is sitting because of his ankle, that's clearly not it. He sits because otherwise Aurilia would sit. It's as many of us suspected coming out of spring training, Narron was itching to hand 3b to Aurilia. EE's hot start kept him from doing that. Then the ankle injury. The extended stay in AAA made it clear what was going on, now we see with EE back up that he is only starting against lefties, in which case Aurilia shifts over to 1b.

There is simply no good reason for this club to be sitting a talent like EE against righties so that Aurilia can be in the line-up against righties, but it is what is going on. No questions about it at this point.

Matt, it's no such thing. They have made their choice. It's clear. I think it is OK to point it out and discuss it without snide comments. I think Dave Miley with the same team would have nearly the same record. Narron is not a good manager.

As for Narron getting more out of the team than we thought in ST, well maybe that has more to do with the additions he has gotten since ST in Arroyo, Phillips and Ross more than it has anything to do with Jerry Narron.....

Yeah, I'm pretty sure all new players coming in and playing way over their heads has little or nothing to do with the management.

Remember, when players do well, it's their own doing.

When they do poorly, it's because they're being mis-used by the manager.

That SB attempt doesn't make much sense.

The odds of LaRue and the pitcher driving you in aren't very good. Might as well stay at 1st and let the pitcher bunt you over to 2nd, then take you chances with Deno.
