Who goes down then?

Standridge?

You would have to DFA him.

They might be able to send someone down for a day and then bring them back up after the start. If they cant do that, then the Reds could think about getting rid of someone in the bullpen and let Germano replace them until Belisle or Claussen are ready to rejoin the team.

If you go down you have to stay down for at least 10 days.

I could see Germano starting tomorrow and taking Standridge's spot in the pen.

You could start Mays tommorow, then release him after the game and bring up German/Gosling to pitch Saturday.

The only thing that could throw a monkey wrench into those plans would be if Mays pitched a shut out.....nah....

They're showing the 9/21/01 Mets /Braves game on the the Mets network, the first game in New York after 9/11. The Crowd is incredibly wired. If the delay lasts long enough, we can see Piazza's home run. Boy, does that seem like 100 years ago.

Not unprecedented. Jesus Sanchez shut out the Cards a couple years ago and was released like two weeks later.

This game is only in the 2nd. If it starts, it won't start until 10:15 at the earliest, meaning the game won't end until like 1.

Then you have to play a 12:35 day game tomorrow.

Just call it.

I was watching that...two thoughts from that:

1) Piazza had blond hair...no shock that there were rumors flying around about him.
2) Everyone was all serious during the pregame and Bobby V was giggling like a schoolgirl who just got a note passed to her from Denorfia. I was nauseous when there were rumors about him going to Cincy.

I would much rather listen to Furman than Tracy Jones. At least Furman does not talk about himself all the time. But he does get some interesting callers. The other night about midnight, I was listening to Extra Innings and some caller was complaining about Denorfia and how he is not ready. He then said that either Bruce or Stubbs should be called up to take his place. I kid you not. Last night some caller was disagreeing with Furman about something and Furman called him on it and all the caller could say in return was Uhhhhh, uhhhh, uhhhh, uhhhhh. It was embarrassing.

are you the ghost of Tony Sands? Junior league meteorologist?Hey it doesn't take a meteorology degree to know that precipitation NORMALLY either 1) weakens or 2) dissapates as the sun goes down. There is a line of thunderstorms that is actually maintaining strength near Chicago and if it holds together it would be in Cincinnati between 1 and 2 am if the NWS doppler is correct. So hopefully the Reds can be done by that time because there shouldn't be any more of the pop-up types tonight like what transpired over the last few hours.
