Nice call. LaRue's a gamer so he'll squat this afternoon. He caught Arroyo last time.

We'll, see who catches tomorrow. The Lizard is on the mound, but Capuano is slated for the Brewers.

I hate this sitting Junior stuff. I agree that he is pressing right now and might need a rest because of that but....

Junior was up to .296/.354 when he tweaked something and had to miss three games, as soon as he got back he went into a tailspin.

He starts to get hot again, homers in 4 straight games then narron sits him for a rest while he is hot and he went into a tailspin.

Sits him right before the AS break so Junior has Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed off and he has been a sive at the plate since.

Junior is better without the "breaks" - honestly, he should only be sat down when he injuries something. I know the Mauch theory and I hate it. I'm more of the Gehrig theory. Especially with Junior

Fragile legs...insanely late night last night, and the fact that he was down on one knee during a point of last night's game....I have no problem with him sitting today.

You're going to have a tough time convincing me Endy Chavez is a better hitter than, well, anyone on earth.

And LaRue, despite his struggles, is better than Castro.

Can't argue with the others for the most part.

Again, today is a day I would sit him - he is pressing and it was a late night.

But Narron is, according to his words before the ASB, beginning a resting of Junior on day games after night games. If he does that Junior is gonna struggle the rest of the year. He plays better when he is in there every night.

I'm just joking with you. Yes. Glavine can get in a groove and has done so many times against the Reds. He's been wearing down lately, and Willie's been pulling him between 90-100 pitches. The Mets aren't saying so, but there's a little "cruise control" mentality starting to seep in to their game.

Duh, forgot about Andruw's power surge last year and his annual consistency each year. Didn't think Thome was healthy enough to keep pace with Dunn, but he does annually put up 40+ HR's when healthy.

Gameday isn't the most reliable source out there. It puts the pitch in the vicinity of where it's located, but is usually off a bit.

With that said both the 3-1 and the 3-2 pitch were strikes so he really didn't deserve a walk.
