So it appear that it will be raining on and off, but mostly on the whole day long...but do the players and coaches still show up to the stadium if it is a day like today where the game will probably get rained out? I would assume they would just in case they can get the game in, but I was just curious considering the weather outside, it just had me thinking.

Yes they do. They show up at the normal time. They do any pregrame preparations indoors.

Yes, they will go no matter what unless the game is cancelled prior to them arriving. Many times they will just hit in the cages and go over scouting reports (new team in town tonight). Plus, if some guys need some extra work they will go in around 12 to take BP, of course that is if it hasn't started raining yet, which I dont think it has. Hope that helps.

A bit off topic, but has anyone here seen the indoor practice/batting areas? I hear the Reds will sell packages to tour the entire clubhouse, training areas, etc. Usually they do this for charity, I believe.

Anyway, just currious.

Yes, indoor batting cages, pitching mounds, and weight room is available for practice during nasty weather.

I've seen them. They are very nice.

I've seen them. They are very nice.

Cool...where are they? Are they underground, sorta under the 1st and 3rd sides of the stadium or is there a bunch of room directly under the playing field?

I'm not sure exactly the location as it's been a couple of years since I've seen them and you kind of lose your sense of direction under the stadium.

Chip is correct. As you walk back from the Reds dugout, the batting cages are on the left followed by the trainer's room. Across from that is the clubhouse. I went down a few years ago for season ticket batting practice day but it rained all day and they let us hit in the cages instead. Pretty cool...not as cool as hitting on the field, but still fun.
